Store Policy


ORDERING

All orders must be paid in full at the time of order

All orders are non-refundable and cancellations are not allowed.

When your order has been placed with SUGARPLUM, we will not charge your credit card until we are positive that we can get the dress to you for the wear date given to us with the order. Once this is assesed, you will receive a confirmation of your order with the delivery date by email or phone.

SUGARPLUM guarantees on-time arrival of all orders according to the delivery dates which are given to our customer.

 Tax is not included in the cost of any item. For residents of NEW YORK there will be tax added to the cost of the item(s) ordered.

 Shipping and handling charges are *Free Ground Shipping in the Continental USA. When we inform you about the delivery date you can email us to upgrade to 3rd, 2nd or next day air for a fee.

SUGARPLUM will not be held responsible for any damages made to garment after customer has received item. ex. broken zippers, beads falling off due to excessive handling, dry cleaning errors, etc.


WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Due to the nature of Women's Formal Wear Business, manufacturers do not accept returns from retail or online stores. Therefore, you can be sure that retailers inspect their merchandise very carefully! If a store does accept returns from customers such as yourself, there is always a possibility that this garment has found it's way to other homes and possibly other functions! Our only guarantee that no one has ever previously received or worn the garment you have chosen is to accept a  NO RETURN-ALL SALES FINAL  policy, both online and in our retail store.

Our shipping department will inspect all garments thoroughly again before shipping so if there appears to be a damage you should contact us within 24 hours of receipt.

Cancelling an Order: You will not be able to cancel your order once it has been placed.


WEAR DATE

The wear date field during checkout is where the customer should indicate the last day they are willing to receive their order. If we cannot deliver by this date, we will send you an email letting you know that the order had to be canceled.  Know that all orders shipped standard shipping take from 3-5 days within the continental USA. If you need your dress sooner than that you must request expedited shipping during checkout.


HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE MY ORDER TO ARRIVE AFTER I PURCAHSE IT?

All (in-stock items) will ship either the same day, or next business day via UPS Service.

All (not in-stock items) will be immediately ordered from the manufacturer. Your order would be processed and shipping information will be sent to you via email. The total time you could expect to receive your order would be 7-10 business days if the manufacturer has stock available, or 1-14 weeks if being specially cut.


WHAT IF THE ITEM I ORDERED IS NOT IN STOCK?

If the item you order isn't in our store stock, we will contact the manufacturer directy in an attempt to special order the item. If the item is in stock at the manufacturer and we can assure ourselves we can deliver it to you by your wear date we will proceed with the order. If the item is in production at the manufacturer and we can guarantee the item to arrive by your wear date information, we will proceed with the order. In instances where the item is not available we will promptly contact you and offer you an  immediate refund, either via email or telephone.

We offer *FREE GROUND SHIPPING in the  Continental United States fo regular size shipments.
Oversized full ballgowns will incur a $5 extra handling fee.

*Ground to Alaska & Hawaii: $35*

*2nd Day Air:  $28*

*Next day Air:  $49*

*For first item, $10 for each additional item

*Garments that are full ballgowns will incur a $5 extra handling fee.

We currently only serve the United States area.


WHY ARE YOUR PRICES LOWER ONLINE THAN IN YOUR RETAIL STORE?

IN STORE:

Due to the high costs of customer service and tremendous In-Stock selection that Sugarplum offers in our brick and mortar location, we are unable to offer our online prices, nor do we match other online or brick and mortar store prices.
All our in store inventory has Sugarplum or Manufacturer labels but  there are no visible, discernable sizes marked in the garment. Our fabulous sales associates make sure that you have been fitted properly for the perfect garment for your occcasion.

Therefore, our in store location offers no style and size information to take back to the internet (either sugarplumonline, or any other website).

ONLINE STORE:

Since you have done all the shopping online and have needed very little assistance from us, the cost is considerably less to do business. Sugarplumonline internet business is handled in a seperate manner than our retail shop, by a seperate division.

EUROPEAN ALTERATION DEPARTMENT

WE HAVE A FABULOUS ALTERATION DEPARTMENT IN A SEPERATE SHOP ADJACENT TO OUR BUILDING! YOU WILL HAVE AN ATTENTIVE PRIVATE FITTING. OUR FIVE PERSON STAFF OF EUROPEAN SEAMSTRESSES WILL MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU LEAVE SUGARPLUM YOUR OUTFIT WILL HAVE A PERFECT FIT!

MANY OUT OF TOWN SHOPPERS MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP TO SUGARPLUM JUST FOR THIS SERVICE ALONE!

AGREEMENT:

 Accepting these terms and conditions has the effect of a binding legal contract. It is similar to signing a credit card receipt when making a purchase at a traditional store.
